With rapid development under way, Fulshear, Texas, just outside Houston, expects to nearly double its water and wastewater customer base over the next five years—growing from roughly 15,000 to more than 25,000 connections.
At its April 15 meeting, City Council approved an updated Water and Wastewater Master Plan developed by Freese and Nichols. The plan outlines 20 capital projects—split evenly between water and wastewater—costing a total of $212.42 million.
Key five-year priorities include:
-
Water: Expand capacity at Pecan Ridge, build McKinnon plant, add transmission lines
-
Wastewater: Expand multiple lift stations and reroute the Katy-Fulshear system
The 10-year roadmap will guide Fulshear’s capital planning as the city prepares its FY 2025-26 budget.
